Retraining The Monkey On Your Back

Sharon & Joop de Korte

This is an interactive workshop about the obstacles that we have placed in our own way. We will look at physical and mental limitations, real and imagined, and propose the possibility of different outcomes in order to overcome general and specific problems.

By understanding the possibilities and boundaries the world has bestowed us as individuals, we can deduct how our beliefs might be limiting us.
Subsequently we will explore how we might do things differently to "get out of our own way" and expand our horizons.

By doing this we hope to help participants create concrete solutions, in order for them to be more successful in their quests, whatever they may be.

The Art of Seeing ---A Photographic Adventure

Mindy Joy Rose

"STOP, breathe, and pause...with a new appreciation of the vibrant palette of autumn leaves...your friend's smiling eyes...clouds mirrored in a window...camouflaged shapes and shadows...and so much more.

Join Photographer and Image Artist, Mindy Joy Rose for an Adventure in ""The Art of Seeing"". Take this time away from your daily routine to inhale the beauty of the foothills and the richness of what is often overlooked in the quick pace of everyday life.

Mindy will guide our attention, bring the unseen into focus, and coax our vision beyond the obvious, using any camera or even your smartphone.

All skill levels are encouraged, and having fun is part of the mix! Nature, architecture, people, and nooks and crannies await both indoors and out, rain or shine. Your choice of photographing freely, or joining in on a photographic treasure hunt, of colors, shapes, metaphors, complexity vs simplicity, inside out, upside down, perfect imperfection...

With advances in technology comes the ability for everyone to skillfully weave visual stories or create fine photographic art at any given moment. First Mindy will share some ideas and inspiration from her own creative journey, then along with the support and energy of the group, it will be time to begin your own.

Challenge your curiosity and desire to explore, nurture your sense of wonder, discover new views, and refresh your creative soul..."

The Labyrinth of the Unbroken Path

Misha Eli

Friday Night set your intentions for the weekend as we enter The Labyrinth of the Unbroken Path - an ever-evolving mobile art gallery.  It is constructed by utilizing the natural alignments of various cultural paradigms and items found in the ordinary world. Various artists express particular stages of the journey. The end result is a community-based, interactive piece of installation art that is not only beautiful and creative, but is also consciousness-raising. The Labyrinth of the Unbroken Path represents who we are as people, from whence we have come, and where we go from here.

The traveling seed pieces are based on inspiration from : Hero's Journey, Stephen Covey's Eight Habits of Highly Effective People and Four Roles of Leadership, the Four Gospels, as well as concepts such as the Four Noble Truths of Buddhism, the Four Elements of Nature, and the Four Aspects of Humanity.

Which Life School Are You Enrolled In?

Christine Kidder

Peace, Wisdom, Love, or Service?

Which is your "Life School", and what does it mean? The answer is in your finger prints.

Your fingerprints are formed before you're born and never change (in this lifetime.) They contain three pieces of information related to your life purpose. (Your life purpose, life lesson, and life school)

Your Life School is like a filter that all of your experiences run through, and effects everything you do. Each Life School has a "Student Path", and a "Master Path". Understanding your life school can help you see your life from a whole new (possibly more empowering) perspective.

We will make hand prints and you will discover which Life School you are in and learn the how to live more on your Master Path.
